Publishers’ Copyright.

All publishers of academic journals will have a copyright transfer agreement that should stipulate whether or not they permit deposit in an institutional repository.

Use SHERPA/RoMEO to find a summary of permissions that are normally given as part of each publisher’s copyright transfer agreement (i.e. will your publisher allow you to deposit the full text of your research paper in the Leeds Met repository?)
